The Great Pumpkin Adventure!

We are lucky to have some help this week with Grandma and Grandpa in town! And just in time for Aiden's 5th Birthday Party this coming weekend.

We visited the pumpkin patch/apple orchard in Vesta last weekend.

Graem found a pumpkin and wouldn't let it go! While Aiden and Jack found a BIG pumpkin to show Grandpa.

 

We found one that was just the right size although we were overall more interested in the apples than the pumpkin. Oh how we love apple season! We have been abiding by the 'apple a day' rule, have you?

Who knew that cookie monster and the mustang were friends?

Jack and his buddy Henry found the costume bin.....silly boys anxious for Halloween!

Emily said it best, "this is the first time we knew were all 6 kids were!"

We are so lucky to have such AWESOME cabin neighbors!

Marshall or Mexico??

 

We sure are glad that Aunt Bop-A-Dee and her friend Jayson chose Marshall.....I mean is there even an option? Where would you rather spend your labor day weekend?

This was a weekend filled of first's for Jayson....

First time in the Midwest (SD and MN) don't ya know?

First time waking up with an awful hangover - wait I am sure he has done that before but has he done it off of spending ONLY $9?

Preschool is IN session!

Preschool started today for Aiden! I snapped a couple of pictures on the front step quick before Eric drove him to school. It was a no brainer for him to wear his superman shirt today and he announced he was wearing his Clark Kent glasses as well (although he ended up leaving those in the car vs actually wearing those into the classroom).

While Dad is in San Fran....

We attended Smokefest on Friday night (I think we made it an hour) and attended the Marshall Sounds of Summer parade on Sat afternoon. I didn't have the opportunity to take pictures on Friday night but snapped just a couple at the parade....

The parade was a fun - we ended up with too much candy. The Sons of Butchers smoking team (our good friends and neighbors) came home with a pile of awards (and left overs!) so overall was a good day. We are anxiously awaiting Eric's return tomorrow night from his work trip to CA (he ended up taking an extra day to spend with one of my sisters, Stephanie/Bopadee and I have received texts from Napa Valley so I know they are having a good time).
